Resident Evil 5

Gattling gun isn't that great, funny, but not that useful. I'd go for the Hydra shotgun (you need to buy all the Ithica upgrades) personally. Once you max it out its basically a magum that uses shotgun shells, its amazing.
 
During the failed first attempt I did get very close to fully upgrading the Ithaca. It only needs a couple more in the capacity. Hmm. Why do you prefer the Hydra to the S&W 500 then?

And to get the rocket infinite ammo, you need to beat the game in under 5 hours it seems. I take it you can replay each chapter willy nilly and the game just tots up the individual times rather than having to do a complete playthrough from start to finish?

The Hydra is just really fun to use you don't need to be spot on every time either and it looks proper Mad Max with Chris's Warrior costume.

Well, Hzza, you were right about the Gatling gun. Fun when there are groups of enemies (take that lickers!) but useless mostly. It's pulling down the ranking to a 'C' accuracy. Am very close to maxing out the S&W M500 now, then I will try out the Hydra.

P.S. Do you get anything for finishing the game with all chapters on 'S' ranking?
 
Lol! I bought it, got all excited, used it once and then put it back in the inventory, never to be used again! Sheva's longbow is soooo much better.
 
6 hours and 10 minutes is my total so far. Not bad. Not keen on that Hydra shotgun though. Will try and shave time off using the S&W M500 and Sheva on her longbow. :D
 
Once you get the range and the power upgrades on it, it's a beast!

Each to their own I guess though, I personally never got along with the machine guns.
 
You don't get anything for S ranking all chapters, no trophy or achievement either, just your own personal satisfaction.

When you finally unlocked the unlimited rocket launcher ammo, if you want to build up points to buy all the other unlimited ammo options, figures, costumes etc, you can easily keep doing Chapter 1-2 on Professional, then get an S rank for 2500 points (Maximum you can get and for this difficulty only!). A run can easily be done in like 2-3 minutes if you are fast and accurate enough and to one shot kill the boss quickly. Sure this may seem repetitive, but it is much more efficient than trying your luck in Mercenaries mode for an SS rank to get 5000 points. It requires more time and effort, and you are likely to die and get nothing at all.

The 6-3 Wesker fight on the tanker is actually really easy if you know how to do the melee combos, or shoot him three times to stun and then if your partner is close enough, you can then easily hold and inject him fast. You don't really need the rocket launchers, unless you want to make the battle epic. :p

I got this, GOLD edition. I didn't think it was too bad, but I never completed it. Like the OP - ran out of ammo.

Its nothing like the first resident evil games. Resident Evil 1 & 2 are much better horror games then this.. It turned into a third person shooter where when you aimed your planted to the floor.. Stupid controls and I too put the game away and never played it again lol

Looked nice though. good graphics.. :p
 
If you hit all of them you unlock the old STARS costume for Chris and the Tribal outfit for Sheva.
 
Speaking of Sheva's Tribal costume, it's really cute how they programmed her to run off if you look at her down the rifle scope :mad: :p
 
you dont need a huge amount of ammo for the last boss anyway.....most people dont realise you can grab him and shiva goes into psycho knife mode killing him.
