Resident Evil 7 Soon ;) cant wait..... :)

From what I understand of the plot...

Some group into making bioweapons created a virus that they use with a young girl that they could introduce into a population unnoticed so she could take it over. For warfare I guess? But they have to move her to a new location because their worried about her being found by Umbrella's anti-bioweapon force. And on transit on a ship it all goes to hell when the girl goes rogue and creates an army of bioweapon minions to slaughter the crew. The unmanned ship ends up blown off course by a storm and crashes into a swamp and the girl gets found by Jack, who presumably takes her home to tend to her.

The girl is fixated on having a family, so infects the Baker family with her virus to control them and uses them to kidnap random tourists and other people from the surrounding people to make her family even larger. Most of those people end up dead as a result.

I'm not really clear on how Lucas got free of the girls control though. I know the Umbrella guys were supposed to have helped him somehow, but if they knew where she was, why didn't they move in on her sooner, before the events of the game took place, rather than only showing up at the very end?

Anyone tried the Banned Footage DLC yet? I can't work out if it's VR or not. It says in the description that Ethan Must Die mode is not VR but I don't know how much of the content that makes up. Won't bother if it's mostly non VR

i played the bedroom one in vr, it was scarier than the game was

it's very short though, about half hours worth of content first time on the bedroom, well about the same amount of content in the videos in the main game

ethan must die is nigh on impossible lol

Yeah, I got all that. What confused me was
the underground lab in the mine with all the records from 2014/15. If the ship got blown off course in a storm and everybody died other than Mia, who setup the lab?

Lucas might have been mental as a result of being controlled by Eveline, but his bedroom records indicate he locked a friend in his attic and left him to die as a child, so the bit near the end where you find out the Baker family are also victims seems a bit odd.

I'm going to pick up a copy of this later, been reading the reviews, and sounds like I am in for a treat...and a jump or too! Been wanting to play a decent scary game

Last game I played was Amnesia on PC, how does it compare to that?

It starts out a bit like Amnesia where avoidance rather than confrontation is encouraged. Later on though it's more of a kill everything kind of game.

Not sure how far I am into it now. Currently playing as Mia on some big ship and I've found the first save point as her.

Would probably say you are 1-2 hours from the end, nearer 1 I think

Me and the Mrs are playing this in VR (it's pretty intense)

Tried a few different settings and we are both getting sickness :(.

Can last a little longer each time we play sickness wise, so hoping it just goes in the end.

Put turning settings back to 30 increments and turn fov off. No sickness here since I did it. I felt awful with turning speed on high.

Picked this up a few days back, loving this so far, really have to play it in the dark for maximum effect!

A few questions..

Ammo seems really hard to come by, and sparse, so you need to use minimal ammo in case you run out, does it get to stage where you have so many ingredients/ammo etc that its no problem, or is it like it throughout?

ive just got to
killing Marguerite in the greenhouse
How much % would you say is complete so far?

Probably 40% or just under half way through I reckon.

I went through early sections with almost no ammo but as you go along you do seem to pick up more.
