5 was okay, 6 is the horrid one for me.

What I would say is there both very tonealy different so I don’t see how a remake of them would work with the current tone the remakes have, they would need drastically changing imo

Anyway back to Veronica, long as it’s done in same vein as other remakes I’ll be happy

Requiem is probably 2nd for me.

The dead space remaster is well worth playing if you haven’t. Not quite zombies but close enough.

That's indie games now, you will never get that on a big budget game. Echoes of the living is as close to old resident evil games as you can get, but it's pc only for now.

I hadn't heard of this one. There are other ones out there like Crow Country and Tormented Souls.

I actually played the original semi-recently on my Steam Deck and it definitely serves as more of a "proper sequel" to 2 than 4 was. The first half of the game has fantastic atmosphere and a prison island is a fantastic place to set an RE game.

The latter half drags quite a bit though.

They exist (as some have mentioned). Some games that have been particularly good (off the top of my head) include:

• Crow Country
• Signalis
• Tormented Souls I and II
• Amnesia the Bunker
