It’s a criticism imposed onto female characters that lack realistic flaws and are said to be a ‘self insertion’ of the writer(s) as how they want to be seen by the world. It’s seemingly a more common complaint than ever in this tedious ‘everything is woke boooo’ era.

People that make a complaint like that in respect of a franchise like this should note that this is the series where the lead male hero has bigger biceps than most people have torsos - he once punched a boulder to get it out of his way… in a volcano.
Isn't there an element of Mary Sue whereby a female character goes from zero to hero without showing any actual growth or going through any struggle to get to that point?

Yes - that’s an example of how a lack of flaws could be implemented; they’re immediately great with little effort. Someone like Rey in Star Wars is called a Mary Sue by some in the context of how much training everyone in the earlier films needed to use force powers, which is a semi-fair observation (even considering blood lines), but I don’t tend to be sensitive to this unless the character has contempt for others or arrogance: overall character and their story arc is more important to me than their skillz (whatever their gender). The most annoying execution of the arrogant Mary Sue was Mulan in the recent live action remake.

An absolutely silly and bonkers movie (in a good way). They should have all died about a 100 times over, but that is part of the fun with a silly franchise involving zombies and creatures etc. Much better movie then the last one. The animation in some parts was extremely well done.
