Resident Evil Remake HD

RE noob question: Is there a difference in gameplay/story between the two characters, or is it largely superficial?

From what i remember their are slight diffidences in story/outcomes can't say much as it will spoil it, also they have differential abilities.

Jill= lock pick, more fire power but takes less of beat in

Chris= Tougher, less fire power, smaller inventory

Regarding characters. I just read this on GAF:

Jill is generall a bit easier (Not as much as in the original PS1 game but still easier.)

One of her biggest perks are two more inventory slots, that means less backtracking to make space for other items.

I haven't played a RE game since 4 (I think) on the PS2. RE1 I last played on the PS1. I don't remember finishing it but I do remember that it scared the crap out of me! Looking forward to this.

The story doesn't fundamentally change but each interacts with different supporting characters which change the game enough to make it worthwhile playing through with both.

Jill has more inventory slots, a lock pick which if I remember means one less mansion key to find, and has access to more weapons. She is weaker so will die in fewer hits.

Chris is stronger and has a lighter which makes burning bodies easier. Apparently there is an accuracy rating in this game so Chris is more likely to get better/more damaging shots in.

Jill was traditionally seen as the easier mode but in the Remake I don't think it's a simple as that.

I just realised I never actually played REmake (just the original PS1 game loads of times).

What are some things I should look out for (I don't really want to use a guide on my first play through)?

Also, would normal be the equivalent of the difficulty on the original (PS1) game?

Just checked PSN site and even though I have downloaded it to the PS4 it is still available for me to download to the PS3. So I guess the answer is yes!

Forgot I had bought this, looking forward to it. Will need to wait for the Mrs to come in though as she enjoys watching the RE games and helps with puzzles (well did with RE1 on PS1 many moons ago).

Can you use paypal on the PSN store? Don't feel secure handing over my Debit info, this is Sony after all. Checked the PSn last night for this on the PS3 and it had a PayPal banner, can't find a way to pay with PayPal once i'm on the web store though as it's just asking me for CC information.

Done. Bought it, now I just have to get home and turn the PS4 to download it, and then it's off to the Arklay Mountains.

Buy a top-up card from GAME/online retailer/CDKeys.com etc instead, it's what I do.

I'm going to buckle and get this, resident evil, has to be done. Great great game back in the day. £15.99 isn't a great deal nowadays , heck spend that going to the cinema for only a two hour long movie...
