I think what impressed me most was the sheer amount of particles on screen. I've never seen so many laser blasts in a computer game.

If it was my setup I'd be getting them in all games.
Seen the same thing on multiple TV's, obviously if you sit further back you won't notice them, I sit about 5 feet from my 37"
That sounds like you are sitting to close (to me) tbh. Also, no offence, but the bigger the TV the more pronounced the jaggies you see (especially if you sit that close to it!!)

I never thought I sat that close, most games are alright though.
Moving down to a 32" so all is good.

I sit about 2 feet away from my 22" Samsung. I honestly haven't seen any jaggies on Uncharted. I normally notice jaggies in games too and remember thinking while playing how good the edges were in drakes Fortune.

Dude, I just measured roughly 5 ft from my 32 inch and it seems to close!!! Although I am sure form some 360 setup thread you have your PC and 360/PS3 on the same TV, so I guess you move closer to play some PC games and windows stuff so the distance becomes normal to you.
Deffo too close tbh. Sounds a bit "old wives tale"-ish but it can't be healthy spending too many hours 5ft away from a 37 inch screen and squinting (inadvertently most people strain their eye muscles a bit when playing computer games).

KZ2 looks way better than this. Aren't there any others who are in the beta for that game? In fact, why is everyone completely forgetting about KZ2? I would have thought that it'd be the first thing to come up in a PS3 graphics thread.

I didnt think the beta looked that great imo. Though it is a beta + it was online so the final should be an improvement and at least they havent used the bland colour pallette like in the first. Ill be surprised if it looks better than Uncharted though, thats still the best looking console game imo. The uboat!!

Would it not be better to have two screenshots that are at least comparable (ie both showing the player shooting an enemy). If I saw that second screenshot in another thread I wouldn't even realise it was resistance 2.
If you compare early levels of RFOM to later levels then there is noticable difference in graphical quality there too.
Oh and judging by the couple of screenshots shown in this thread Resistance 2 is far from the best looking PS3 game. I mean I see nothing here that looks better than some shots of Farcry 2*
*To be fair this game goes from looking jaw droppingly stunning to dog ugly depending on where you are.
Hell no, Killzone looks unbelievable
The difference between Resistance & Killzone is vast, Killzone blew me away it was imo the best looking game and the most impressive game at the expo by some distance.
Sony really should have released KZ2 this side of christmas, it definately would shift hardware especially in the US.
