I'm in the 'why didn't they just take the last quarter and make the whole game like that' camp. The Chimearan locales are graphically immense. It's strange, when most games take a turn from the human environments into the alien locales, the game nose-dives - look at Half Life, Farcry, Doom and so on. It's the complete opposite for Resistance, where the human parts are boring, generic, uninspired, etc but the Chimearan structures at the end of the game are fantastically intricate and massive. If R2 has that, and does the American landscape well, they're off to a good start. (they need to fix the wonky Y-axis sensitivity also)
