Hopefully a return to form after the rubbish resistance 2.

Still play the original now and then and its a very fun and solid fps, kinda of a bit half-life-esque at times with the weird weapons and odd 'aliens'.

Everybody?

If you pre-order the normal game from a specific shop, you get one of the unlock codes (for skin, grenade etc.)

That's the special edition with the vinyl bluray disc.

I meant the version with all the goodies (ie the satchel) !

The only non-normal edition is this one as far as I know

USA only AFAIK, EU have to make do with the Special Edition with the steelbook case and vinyl looking disc

Hated both previous Resistance games so will probably give this one a miss, pretty sure the 360 has a pretty big exclusive coming out the same week which will probably be taking up most of my time :cool:

Not looking forward to it as much now that Nathan is not in it and the co-op MP gone. I was hoping for some super badass play with the new powers that Nathan got at the end of 2.

Survivor edition is not USA only. Both the special edition and survivor are EU exclusive, for some reason no where has the survivor for pre-order yet. I guess who is getting it is still being sorted out.

USA gets the doomsday edition (Game+ ps eye, move controller and sharpshooter).

I'm probably just going to get the special, will have to see how much the survivor is first though.

Not really. RFOM had very much its own identity, admittedly the first few levels were rather brown but after that it went its own way with awesome weapons and bizarre enemies. The storyline was presented in more of a narrated comic style compared to killzones dark and drab 'the grind of war style'. Overall RFOM is much closer to half life 1 then killzone.

Unfortunately that's just when CoD proved you can sell any old generic rubbish to millions so insomniac changed the very solid and good gameplay of the first to a horrid mess of a system.

In fact with much more colour, humour and 'weird' elements resistance is about as far away from killzone as you can get.

This. RFoM was perfect. R2 tried to imitate cod and failed.
