resizing a folder full of images in one go, can it be done?

Hi
im at work and we have a bit of a problem

the warehouse manager has a large folder full of stock photos that he needs to upload to an ftp site

the images need to be a certain resolution and at the moment they are all 3000X2500 sort of size

it there any way [suggest a program or technique] that i can select all of these images and resize them from within windows explorer without me having to spend all day on photoshop doing each one individually

If you've got photoshop you should be able to set up a batch job to do it via an action.

i have got photoshop [but im not really skilled in using it] [im more of a network specialist]
how do i do this?

bledd - that shrink it program you suggested looks useful
i cant get on it here at work but will try it out at home tonight!!
