Hi
im at work and we have a bit of a problem

the warehouse manager has a large folder full of stock photos that he needs to upload to an ftp site

the images need to be a certain resolution and at the moment they are all 3000X2500 sort of size

it there any way [suggest a program or technique] that i can select all of these images and resize them from within windows explorer without me having to spend all day on photoshop doing each one individually

thanks for the help in advance

It's dead easy in Photoshop (well, PS elements at least). Just go to File -> Process multiple files :)

If you've got photoshop you should be able to set up a batch job to do it via an action.

thanks guys you have just saved me a lot of faffing around!!!

which photoshop is it? in cs2

you can do..

file, scripts/batch, image processor

-edit, or there's ShrinkIt!

set the quality to 85%+, choose the image size, and output directory, then drag the files onto the 'drag your images' section, it's freeware (it doesn't delete originals, so that's safe..)

There are probably loads of ways to do this, but here is one.

Do you have Canon Digital Photo professional (comes free with a Canon body) It can do this as part of the batch processing option.

i cant get on it here at work but will try it out at home tonight!!

Microsoft's Power Toy... 'Image Resizer' works a treat!!... Either set sizes (screen resolutions) or a Custom Size!..
