Resolutions

No, not a new Matrix film, but a question/discussion about what resolutions best suit people.

My newish HDTV runs at 1080p, but obviously you can change it to 720 if you want. tbh, i can't see much difference between the 2.

However, when gaming, my 5850 will play everything completely maxed out at 720, but struggles just a wee bit at 1080 in some games such as BC2, when playing online and crysis(what doesn't?). Dropping res, i see a slight drop in sharpness, but not really that much.
I was planning to crossfire soon, but am not sure now, as i'm fairly happy with 720, or do you think i will be missing out?
What would you do?
What res are you happy with?

i reckon i will probably crossfire and go up to 1080 for online shooters, as i would prefer to keep a high fps, the 5850 alone would be ok, but i'm not sure about the fps on the likes of BC2, Crysis 2 at 1080p

that's harsh

i do notice a differnce, it's just a bit meh...

haven't thought it was worth playing at 1080p, with less fps when playing online.

suppose it's a trade-off between picture quality and fps.

When i get another 5850, i'll play at 1080 all the time.
