Respraying a Corsa

Vauxhall Corsa vs Seat Ibiza vs Lupo Vs Fiesta in basic spec is like picking the sweetcorn out of someone else's pavement pizza because you missed breakfast!

WTF? For a start the Ibiza is based on the VW polo, so you should be comparing like for like. Secondly the Ibiza and Polo in basic spec, whilst overpriced, are at least decently built and ok to drive.

Sorry I disagree - have you ever driven the 1.1 (or is it 1.2?) Polo? I bet it's the same as the Ibiza...yawn...had more fun at the dentist tbh.

Anyway apologies for the personal opinion.

Worth a respray? I second the chap/chapess who suggested selling and buyong a black one.

That's all he wanted to know, not how crap his car was or how his money would be better spent buying a different car. But I suppose you should be commended for going beyond the call of duty and enlightening him, shouldn't you.

I told him in my very first post, the second reply to this thread, are you blind?

Like i've already said i didn't slate his car i mearly suguested it could be an option i wasn't going to say anything until you butted in and only posted 'Why, what's wrong with a 2002 Corsa?' thats not on topic at all, its you who deviated this thread and you are continuing to do so, you have not said anything on topic so stop your ranting and leave it alone.

Wow someone needed to get a rant or two out!

he does however have a point

everybody on here has an obsession about "owning the best". people say look at my 4 door saloon, "could have had x mondeo for that money". people post look at my 2 door hatch "could have had a mondeo for that money, could have had an MX5 for that money etc.."

i got the same thing with my Picasso. Its not the best, but i dont care, i happen to like it, faults and all.

Im sick and tired of everybody posting that "x car is better". At the end of the day who cares if car x is better than car y if i dont like car x ??

as for the point about respray, you do have a point, it is pointless, but i do wish the constant "dont buy this, dont buy that, this is better" would go away, its boring and predictable.

Well done that man.

I may not be a prolific poster, or one of the clique but it is funny how all the respected members of this area of the forum appear to own the best cars in their opinion and everyone else be hanged!

It is "funny" as in some of the "BMW TBH" style posts amuse me on both levels.

surely, if the corsa was a bad car, there wouldn't be millions on our roads, however, they sure aren't the best car but i drove a 1.4 courtesy car, i thought it was alright, especially if it's a first car, they aren't ugly, cheap to insure, and for the market they are aimed at, they do their job just right. At least they don't try to something they are not. just a good, honest small car.

I still wouldn't have one though :D

I agree. Everyone should have a Rover 620Ti or nothing.

erm, what other cars are there available in *** same price bracket as a 2002 corsa that are so much better?! i can think of clios, polos etc but they all get slagged off on here anyway....small cars arent designed to be quick/handle like an aston etc.
I've driven a corsa and its fine...sure u cant throw it round bends etc but why would you want to? I have a clio, and i think it looks good, and drives well. only problem is that its not exactly well built - sad thing is you need to spend ridiculous money nowadays to get one that is!!

oh and no, dont respray, buy a new one ;)

errrrrrr...

Ford Mondeo, Escort, Fiesta

Vauxhall Astra, Cavalier

Rover 200, 400... hell, you can even get a Rover 200 Turbo (closest size to the Corsa) for less than it costs for an 02 plate Corsa.

And an Uno turbo! That would be more fun/credible than a corsa! lol

The corsa isnt my first choice of car either but im getting it at a good price of around £2300. So it'll do nicely as a temporary car until I find the car I want.

Thanks for all the helpful information. If its going to cost that much then I wont bother doing it.
