Getting on toward spring now so when does everyone start tidying up and prettying up the garden post winter?

I'm thinking of giving it a go in the next few weeks but I'm putting it off at the moment in favour of trying to sneak some more lie ins :p

Did a couple of hours yesterday looks 100 times better cut the grass dug over the small veg bed some weeding cut back some shrubs

Do an hour or two a weekend then it's not such a mammoth task

Live in a flat so don't have a garden myself, however I've spent the past 5 days helping out the parents.

Tree surgeon has been in for 4 days, cut down 3 trees, taken about 10ft off 8 conifers, and removed 30ft off two pine trees leaving about 60ft of tree behind. We've got 150ft of hawthorne hedgerow to plant, so need to crack on with that next. However ive been too busy in the wood burning all the conifer branches, and poking things with sticks :p

I tend to enjoy it, especially the back garden but the front is a nightmare with the weeds coming through from next door and the evil neighbourhood cats who I will soon smite!

I'm tending more toward roses and evergreens these days then bedding plants, plus Lavender, love my lavender :p

Don't do what my friend did when helping his parents, set fire to his leg burning the petrol and ending up in IC for ages due to a huge burn wound on his leg and then that getting infected

Nasty! They've got an incinerator thing so a little BBQ lighter fluid and it's well away, burns stupidly hot.

The real danger is dealing with all the trunks, we need to chop them down so they can dry in the log store, so a chainsaw has been added to the garden too collection.

After all that we they want to carry on with the garden plan, we've had a designer come in and do some awesome drawings, most has been done but still got a little way to go with drainage.

Yeah, I'm looking for a lavendar too, great for bees!

My front garden is quite tidy, have a driveway and a patch of grass with a small tree in. Just requires mowing every couple of weeks then that's it. I'm going to go to much greater efforts with my back garden (no pun intended) as that is where we spend most of our time.

I'll drop a picture when mine is tidied up, got loads of lavender it smells fantastic and looks great too especially when it fully flowers.

Been another great sunny day outside, perfect for some chainsaw action!

Got a long list of jobs to, first is to plant a beech hedge, also got a wall to finish.
I'm a little held up with some jobs, as I found slow worms living under the leaf pile, & in the compost heap..
