Hey guys, just resubscribed to wow after 1 year, i used to be a hunter, just wonder what the funest class is? my mate who is playing (60) is a mage and says its good... he suggest a healer (raid groups) a warlock, a Rogue (too many on pve).

what are your thoughts, im tempted by a priest (heard they can be quite effective late game shadow) but only for raid groups (healing), might go mage.. but what are the advantages of a warlock? (ive already tried the pet route)

cheers

This has been posted many times, do a search.

And it really does depend on what you like. I've got a 60 Rogue (Combat) and a 60 Priest (Holy)

The Rogue is tough - loads of them about, difficult to get in groups and my guild is full of them so I strugge to get him down MC. Especially as we are short of Priests so I end up taking him instead.

Priests - well, lets just say you'll never be short of a group. In shadow spec they do serious damage, but you could spec a bit of Holy to try and please you group/raid. I find the Priest to be more of a job/responsibility in a raid, but they require skill to utilise effectively.

Didn't like Warriors. Warlocks are fun, and there aren't many about, great Mage/Hunter hybrid. Mages I really like also, and I've recently tried a Pally which I've enjoyed a lot.

I've just started, but in most RPG games I prefer paladins as they can wear good armor, and do some good melee as well as heal!

I wouldnt go pally. Paladins have not recieved the justice they should in wow. Also, thier dps, unless well equipped and lucky is pretty poor tbh.

Heh, on Argent Dawn a mate of mine has a DPS paladin, didnt belive him until he caned me in a duel, twice :(

Depends on gear and setup doesnt it, I've critted cloth for 2000+ on an opener a few times, and im a druid lol.

Seriously, there is NO such thing as a dps paladin. There may be a paladin who gets dps gear in comparison to other paladins, but none of them will ever keep up with a true dps class. They might be able to hit for 1.5k every now and then, maybe once every 5-10mins really, with a touch of luck i can do that every 10 seconds on my hunter.

Levelled 3 hunters to 60,a mage and a warlock. The lock is the only class I now play.Lots of viable talent builds and by far the most fun I've had with a character to date.

well you cant do anything at the moment as everything seems to have gone abit pete tong with the login etc.

warlock but dont just go SL spec, learn suc skill, thats where true 5v1 pvp is possible :)

You on about succabus yea?

As in one warlock v 5 others?

I've seen warriors take on 2 people but most other classes me and my Rogue mate can down them pretty quick. Without either of us copping it.

Btw you still play a lot nubje? Dog btw :p

Like I say every time this thread comes up - fun is subjective. Good is also subjective. We can't tell you what you like, so you need to think about it yourself.
I got a druid to 51 and realised that I much preferred healing over anything else, so decided to roll an actual healer. I then decided that I liked being able to kill things before I went holy, so I rolled a proper damage dealer.
I really don't like combi-classes (especially druids/shamans who wear cloth, grrr!), but some people really like them. It's all a matter of opinion, and of trial and error.

If you've never been a healer before, then don't assume that you will like it, as a lot of people hate healing and find it very repetitive and boring.

Warlock imo. Depends what you like, most Druids either get pushed into Feral (but limit use for this - so some say) or totally restoration specced. The warlock sorta sticks to his own stuff throughout and just sits at the back doing his bit.
