Restaurants in Leeds?

I went to Sous Le Nez a few years back which was pretty nice. Great wine menu, including a decent selection of half bottles which were nice to just have a half bottle of Ruinart while waiting for the table.

Lived in Leeds City Centre for 7 years

Le Souz Le Nez - best restaurant in Leeds

Honourable mentions

Big fatty type food - Reds is overrated, I much prefer MeatLiquor
Sukothai - brilliant cheap thai food - won a number of independent food awards
La Ramblas - spanish tapas owned by spanish people - pure result
Face burned off / drunken fun - Cieo Blanco (more fun over food than quality)

Don't bother / be sucked in by

Bibis - style over substance
San Carlos - overpriced

My views on other mentions from other posters

Nation of Shopkeepers - its a student bar...great memories but ok food
Kendals - good, but not as good as Le Souz Le Nez, consider this if Le Souz is full
Bem Brasil - just go to Fazenda instead, so much better
Chaopyra - great food, nearly identical to Sukothai
Azucar - come on, its awful. I lived next door to this place for 3 years (Brewery Wharf) - its student food go to the local tapas (Ambiente - although walk further and go to La Ramblas)
Town Hall Tavern - good shout
Nawaabs - again, famous for food poisoning, go to AM Kitchen (weird name I know, but best curry in Leeds)
Loch Fyne - its closed ages ago, its now a trendy bar (owners have one in York originally, Banyan...)

If you want recommendations for bars to drink at I think the above posters in the thread can point you in a good night out :) Lots of knowledgeable folks

We should consider a Leeds meet up, didn't realise there were so many of us here

I like the look of Pieminister! Ive heard good things about Almost Famous so will definitely head over there for lunch!
