I've got a Windows 2003 server which has a number of shares on it. When users connect to the box they can see all the shares available. I've configured the permissions on the various shares to restrict users to only be able to access specific shares but they can still see the shares they can't actually access. Is there a way of getting round this? Potentially, I will have many shares but most users will only want to access a specific few. :)

You can hide shares by putting a $ in front of it. I'm not sure if it's possible to hide specific shares for specific users though
