the paint was in a pretty bad way, so it needed sorting out, im absolute gobsmacked at how well it cleaned up !

Was it pink before then? I did a friend;s one a while back. Cut the paint, polished, the works. Looked as good as the pics you've put up.

It faded again within a couple of montha  :(

How did you find the electric polisher?

I know a few have been on about these Porter Cable affairs but I was lazy and got a valeter to do mine yesterday and he said you need to be careful not to take the paint off?

to be fair, on the bad bits, it was totally useless, and I had to do them by hand, however since dad has used it on his new mondeo and it was a great finish, but then again, we didnt need it to work so hard.

its also a bit to big (the head is about the size of a football, which means that any smaller areas you end up missing, and the bits of the car next to the trim you also end up missing

Care to give us a list of the products you used there then??

Looks like the motor came up good. I remember with my old Red Astra Mark 2 Starlight that was red.... It faded really bad. Its was as almost as pink as that thing Hammy was driving about in on Sunday night! :D

a cracking difference since the before pics.

I have got a leccy polisher still in the box never used...maybe I will crack it open one day.
scraped a post the other day got some white paint on my green bumper I want to get off ;)

Well yeah, but you can't quite make out which AutoGlym products they are. I had to try and figure it out with the colour codes. Anyway, i thought you said you were gonna t-cut it first?

Edit...

I have only just seen the whole of the image now... blasted work monitor! Anyway, what are the red bottles all about (im new to all this).

That is not bad at all! Gotta get me one of those electric polishers.

Do they remove all the stupid little scratches, as my car is full of them.

This pic shows the difference between an area that has received the porter cable treatment and an area that hasn't.

Your ordinary halfords electric buffer won't come close to that.

Wow! Thats a machine (shine).

Me thinks i really should start to polish my motor. I dont think i would ever be able to get it looking that good though. Mind you it is only a corsa 2001 so its probably not really worth it. :D
