Retail E6700 ????

I never knew a great deal about overclocking but bit of research on net its easy enough to pick up, plus Gibbo has been really usefull helping me with ram timings which i thank him much for.

Too late now!!!

Well I've been lucky and just ordered the last Retail 6700 from another UK supplier (the last they had left).

So tomorrow will cancel it on OcUK.

Still getting my hard drives from them though!!

I just feel dont like the idea of overclocking me stuff, after spending so much on my system i wouldnt want to risk damaging any of it :D.

Im going to build a seperate system with my old amd64 stuff and maybe have a go overclocking that and see how i get one :)

There's very little risk involved if you know what you're doing. The only 2 factors you really have to worry about when it comes to damaging hardware are temperature and voltage. Keep the voltage below recommended levels and monitor your temps and you're laughing. Alright you do run the risk of reducing a components life expectancy, but when you're talking about reducing it from say 15 to 10 years, it's not really an issue.

Ill maybe take a look into it then :D.

Anyone answer me question btw?

Will i notice a big performance difference going from my AMD64 4000+(2.4Gz) to the E6700(2.67Gz) in games etc?
