Retrieving lost data from Phone?

Does anyone know how to retrieve lost data from a phone?

Specifically a sony ericsson c905. I've just deleted some very important files and I need it back! I know how stupid!

Does anyone know any software to do this?

if it's on a removable memory card (my wife's old samsung used a microsd for storing user data) then pop that out, put it in a computer-attached card reader and run recuva over it.

What about if Windows recognises it as a flash storage device?

Then he can just run recovery software and hope for the best ?

It can be expensive (depending on where the data is stored), but it is highly likely to be recoverable if you stopped using the phone immediately.

It's on a m2 memory card I think. I think I might have to get hold of a computer attached card reader then.

In my experience, devices like that are few and far between. Even windows mobile devices don't present themselves as mass storage devices.

Im studying forensic computing and as part of my degree we do mobile phone forensics. From experience mobiles are complete and utter pigs for retrieving data. See if you can get hold of a demo version of oxygen. Thats usually the best for Sony Ericsson's.
