Retro game comparison video

I agree that the gameplay wasn't the best feature (by a long shot) but when this game was originally released on the Amiga, it was a technical tour de force. The graphics and art work were excellent, but the original David Whittaker soundtrack was the thing that made it so memorable :)

This was the hardest game I ever remember playing when I was a kid. I even remember getting my parents to buy it on a Xmas shopping trip to Hamleys.

Its funny how easy it is to hop on the internet and ask for help, or just look for a walkthrough on Youtube. But back then, there was nobody you could turn to for help getting through those catacombs and stuff.

Surprised there was a difference in the jap/us megadrive versions, with the jap one looking a teeny bit better.

PC Engine looked pretty good for an 8-bit console.

What a steaming pile of **** that game is.

In what way. Many will agree that as a game itself it wasn't very good, but as a technical show piece on the Amiga when it was released, it was cutting edge. Remember the Amiga version was released in 1989.

I thought the video showed quite nicely what happens to a game when you port it across many systems of various performance.

I remember it looked the business when it first came out on the Amiga, but it and it's sequel were bloody nails to play :(

I was impressed with the sound in the FM Town and PC-Engine versions. Anyway I've been a gamer all my life so how come I've never herd of a FM-Town console?
