I fondly remember playing Lords of Midnight and Doomdarks Revenge on my old 48k speccy and I cant help but wonder how you'd play games such as these with so few keys:confused:

Long live the Zilog Z80.
Down with Sinclair and Retro Computers.

I see your 10MHz Z80, and raise you some of my 20MHz Z80s! (Also got some of the 50Mhz eZ80... great fun working with them! I still develop 8 bit hardware.)

I really don't like the approach of just using emulation on an ARM chip as in the Vega. Using the real processor is much more fun and more appropriate for the heritage of the system.

100% agree, it's just not the same unless you are playing on the original in my humble option. Ive downloaded so many modern takes on old 8 bit games and though often perfect replicas, the device is just not the same.

This do look rather splendid though so shall try and get one somehow

I got rid of my Model B with 'sideways RAM' upgrade, 5.25'' floppy drive and 'Music 5000' synthesizer when we did a loft conversion and lost lots of storage space a few years ago. Really regret it now :(

I recently sold my BBC B but it had been sitting unused for literally years. I used to have a Music 500 - did the 5000 really exist? I could never track one down at the time.

Dunno why this was needed when u can just use a pad with a kb on and trackpad and use a android box with a emulator on it and play speccy games that way on the big screen.
