Return policy for a non-functional graphics card

I recently bought the famous Gigabyte Vega 64 OC because although I'd heard some negative reviews, I found that most new buyers had no problem with the card, especially if they updated the BIOS. I'm building my PC in a couple of days as my other parts are arriving soon and I was wondering before I get started, can I return my GPU once opened and used (but not tampered with at all) if there does turn out to be issues like some people suggest? For example if my system works fine but I get black screen issues or system shut downs like some users experience, will I be able to repackage the GPU in the original box with all it's cables and acquire a refund easily or have I potentially gotten myself into RMA replacement limbo here.

I just bought it like 5 days ago I think and I'm going to be building the system in maybe 2-3 days so I would still be under the 14-day return policy right? So what I'm wondering is to what degree returns are supported for faulty items in case if my experience with this card goes horribly wrong

If the card goes horribly wrong within the first 28 days then and it's a hardware fault you'll get a replacement or refund, after that it's normally a repair or replacement depending on the circumstances.

If you've used the card and still want to return it within the return period, you may get charged for the return, again depending on the condition of the return.

If it's just a compatibility issue with your other hardware again you can return within the return period subject to a possible charge. If it's a software or compatibility issue after the return period is over then you'll need to just sell it on as it won't be covered generally.

Thank you very much for the detailed response. Much appreciated as it makes me feel a lot more confident about the purchase. Hopefully it all goes well but if it doesn't, I'll make sure to try to get a refund as soon as possible (rather than tweaking the card), as I should be covered
