If I received a small package from within the UK, and it is unopened, can I mark the front with "return to sender" and put it in the post box without attaching additional stamps etc?

If it was sent in the post (like a letter) then I think you could put 'no longer at this address', and if it's got the senders address on there it will be returned.

i did that with any mail with a return/sender address at my old uni house. collected it all up and a day ebfore we left spent half an hour writing "return to sender" on every piece :P

i should have made a stamp out of a potato or something.

A couple of times I even put "Redirect to x Address" and it still got there. Didn't put on any stamps or anything, it was only a letter thou, not a package.
