Returned item lost by company

looking at that image isn't the problem EVRIs one now because I thought the delivery details and order number was meant to be on their proof of delivery.

in that image it isn't , and the company are refusing to accept the photo as evidence for that reason.. I would say evri were negligent in their proof of delivery which I would hope at least would be separate from the insurance limit

I'm not sure, PayPal seems to say I can't on this type of transaction when going through resolution centre.
A pay in 3 is a credit agreement, so under uk law you get section 75 cover. Definitely pursue it with PayPal as they are much more likely to pay out. Go through customer services if you have to and ask them what postal address you would need to use to initiate a section 75 small claim.

I had a similar situation recently where an item wasn't delivered to me but the tracking the seller provided (from china) indicated it had been "delivered" to the UK courier but not to me. They closed the case in sellers favour and told me I couldn't appeal. I contacted customer support and mentioned small claims and they reopened the case and found in my favour and refunded.

Just because the PayPal website says you can't do something doesn't actually mean you can't.
