Hi Folks,
I was wondering if anyone had experience in returning a GPU to OCuk under
the new consumer contracts law , if it was used how much did you lose % of your original payment ?

I was asking for anyone experiences in returning a card and how much - according to OCuk support up to 25% can be deducted

So the question better phrased

If you have returned a card to OCuk that had been tried in your system how much % did you lose when you returned it

I can't officially say as I don't work in returns so you're best off asking bailey in the CS section. Each case would be done on its own merits with various factors impacting it.

thanks for the replies guys , was hoping someone who had returned something might have replied with their experience

i guess if you were returning the card as "faulty" then no money can be deducted
but if it's a tried and unwanted return, then as everyone says, up to 25%

As above, it depends on the reason for return. I returned a faulty 7950 a year after purchase and got the 7950 boost version as a replacement with a better stock cooler, so I suppose it ended up as a small "upgrade" for me.

I recently had to return 2 x R290X's because they were physically touching each other once installed, Overclockers exchanged them no quibble, must say their customer service has massively improved since I last used them a few years back, can't fault them, best to give them a call and ask.

Returned 2 x 970 due to VRAM issue and got full refund. Returned an Inno3d GTX 980 in pristine condition and got a full refund. 1st class service and refunds received within 24 hrs cant fault that!

Customers who are first timers we tend to full refund, sometimes everyone can make a mistake or get caught out by the Mrs for spending to much.

Where we clamp down and charge restocking fees is on repeat/serial offenders because they are overclocking them and looking for a gem and keep sending them back. Normally restocking fee stops them.

Well as this is in the graphics card related section,

I once bought one of them iceQ turbo aftermarket coolers for a x850xt back in 2005? and the fan didn't work on it at all, sent it back no problem.

Never had to send anything back to ocuk since everythings worked fine. but ocuk are top guys they will take care of any problems you might have! :)
