hi all

i have to return the gfx card i got as its faulty. How do people usually return them? 1st class post or recorded delivery? im thinking recorded as then i definitley know its been received.

whats the usual method other people use? thanks

p.s how long does it usually take to get the refund through?. I want to get a diffirent model instead

Its better to use recorded delivery. You have to contact the place you got the card from first and recieve an RMA number from them. The package back to them needs to have the RMA number on the outside of it in order to be accepted. They (assuming OCuk) test it and confirm that its faulty and then send you a replacement.

Replacement can take from a couple of days to a month. But since yours is a new purchase it make be on the quicker side. I returned a dead X800XL to OCuk and they took about a month to give me a new card but they had to get in contact with the manufacturer in order to get a credit note or something so it took longer. The card was over a year old though (Connect3D have a 2 year warranty)

Always go recorded delivery (with insurance topped up to the value of the item), or special delivery.
That way if it's lost in the post you are not out of pocket.
