Hi anyone know how to return an item for repair outiside of the 30 day return window?

I have an item which was bought on the 31\1\19 which is now faulty and I would like to return it for waranty repair.

According to Amazon If a product becomes defective after 30 days you won't be able to create a returns label using our Returns Support Centre - you'll need to Contact Us. You may wish to visit the manufacturer's website or contact them directly as they may be able to offer troubleshooting and support.

I've tried to find a way of contacting Amazon or the seller but I am caught in a loop on their website.

It look like once your 30 day returns window has passed Amazon washes thier hands.

I just returned a faulty item yesterday to Amazon that I purchased in Dec no quibble, I even mentioned to the CS guy about the 30 day return window and he said don't worry about that, it's mainly for people who just don't want an item rather than a faulty one.

I couldn't seem to contact them directly, but just initiated a return from the order in your account and you put your tel number in and press 'call me' and it phones you immediately

I've returned for a full refund about 6 months later. I got a straight replacement no quibbles. Then an email about a month after reminding me to send the old one back or id be charged lol

it can often be tricky to find the way to actually contact them, but if you get to the point where it asks if you want to mail, chat or call, I usually use Live Chat and they usually set it all up for you from there.

This.

from your description it was sold by amazon, otherwise maybe problematic dealing with 3rd party,

I usually post some pictures they can see, if fault is visible, and, decide beforehand whether you want to drive conversation to a replacement rather than a repair.

Agreed that they do make it quite difficult to find this....

Options to email/call/live chat are displayed in step 3 after you've specified the reason in step 2.

Amazon changed their returns policy a few months back so only certain items will flag up as can be returned after 30 days.

I had to return a motherboard which I purchased back in November and went through online chat to sort it. Seems like they are making their returns abit more harder now.

I got my £600 monitor replaced months after I brought it. Just had to do a live chat and they sent me a new one. Really worked out well since it was my fault the screen cracked.

They are usually pretty good.

I've returned 2 tv sets that broke in a short space of time and they had no problem with me returning them.

One I selected return item and it give me the option to pring the return label, and the other I had to give the warranty people a call (I'd bought an extra warranty cover), they ok'ed it and they put me through to Amazon directly.

By friend returned a monitor which just stopped working after 18 months to Amazon a couple of months ago. Yes you loose the easy return and replace option after a period but he just went via live chat and got a return authorised that way without any issues. He had no extended warranty but the product web page on the manufacturers site indicated it was still within their warranty.
