Good day all,

Just joined the forum. I have been away from gaming for a long time. Looking to get back into it. I am afraid I don't have an up to date pc. I am playing call of duty world of war at the moment. My current set up is as follows.

Asus VM M2A HDMI motherboard,
AMD 690 G 3.2GHZ dual core 6000+ chipset,
Seagate 500GB hard drive,
4 Gb ddr 2 240,
Radion HD 4650 1GB GFX
It is a 32 bit machine

How bad is this machine?
.

Welcome to the forums :)

With the settings turned right down you'll get passable frame rates on a lot of games.

Get saving them pennies..

All new. I'm guessing the power supply is also quite old? What PSU do you have currently?

You might be able to re-use the case and drives.

Nope - credit card takes a bashing because I'm impatient :D

In your case you're probably looking at a new motherboard / CPU / RAM package - possibly a new power supply too, depending on what you have now. Then save for a GPU / SSD

You made it to the right place mate, glad you saw my directions, you will get good advice in here, new members was just for saying hello :)

If you can't afford an upgrade then it's all about managing your expectations :)

Turn down settings until you get reasonable performance. PC gaming is rarely cheap.
