hey guys,

i brought some astro turf trainers on saturday from JJB size 8, i tried the left foot on in the store it felt okay altho my toes was right at the end.

i brought them got them back to my gf's that night after work tried them both on and they are very tight especially the right foot which is my main foot.

if i go take them back and ask to swap them for a nine what will they do say no or just oblige ? i only wore them that once on carpet and they went straight back in the box i got the receipt still too,

any ideas ?

they have no obligation to swap them but if they are obviously unworn and you go in with the right attitude then I would expect that they would help

Lesson : if they your toes are at the end, then they aint gonna be comfy :P

LOL.
That makes no sense at all.

Like the others have said in this thread, if they are unworn, they almost certainly will give you a full refund or exchange for larger size.

If your toes touch the end of your shoe, then how the hell can it be comfortable walking? they would have no room to move inside.

i cant see how i make no sense

Moreso playing football on turf. when you run and stop / turn, your foot will push against the front of your trainer. You need to have a bit room to move in your shoes.

You want tight fitting football boots though :p

Not as tight as you would want spiked trainers for sprinting though ;)

When I was buying hiking boots a while back the store guy kept telling customers to put them both on when they did the 'put one on and limp around a bit' to try them out. There's a lesson in that somewhere

Tbf its common sense to try both shoes/boots/trainers on, you wouldnt put one leg in a pair of trousers when trying them on and go, "i'll take them"

The chances are you will get a refund.
However you are in no way entitled to one - you were given the opportunity to try them on in the store.
So if you come back and they haven't given you a refund (as said, unlikely) don't start a "JJB are ******" thread!

No swearing

Its the same with most clothing, a medium in one brand is unlikely to be exactly the same as another brand.

Different designers have different fits. I wear a 10 in trainers, 9 for shoes, and a 9/9.5 for footy boots (depending on brand). I always find nike footwear to be quite narrow compared to adidas.

I have these and they are pretty cheap and cheerful. They feel too padded for my liking. I only play twice a week on astro turf so I can overlook that :)

Much prefer my Predator blades :D Like you are wearing socks, fantastic boots. Expensive but worth every penny!

well i took them back and they swap no fuss nothing the woman at the counter checked the bottom of the ones i wanted to return to make sure no wear and that was it :D

Just seen the thread and was about to post but never mind. Used to work in JJB and as long as they have not been worn outside and under 28 days from purchase for a return you should be fine for a exchange, they are very very strict on this though.

yep, ive returned trainer before, as long as theirs no sign of wear and tear, like mud and dirt on the bottom of them, and youve got your reciepts(or a credit card statement) they should in theory take them back. I work for halfords, and if customers dont have their reciepts and have paid by card, if they can bring in a credit card statement on similar proof we will quite happily refund.

Hope you get your monies back!

Edit: i really should have read the last 2 posts, d'oh! that'l teach me :p

Ive taken trainers back to JJB's before - even if Ive worn them once in the gym - as long as they look brand new - esp the sole they have no probs.
