As a rule of thumb - you don't need 64bit... :) Keep it.

Not if you've broken the seals on the box.

You can always install it and upgrade via microsoft once installed.

Retailers cannot accept any software back that has had it's seals broken and contains a licence key/ code.

Your last point of return is at the License Agreement page where it says "If you cannot or will not agree to this license please return the package to the retailer for a refund".
Once you've clicked past this then that's it.
The package cannot be resold by OcUK and they cannot return it to their supplier.

its OEM? right. so no way u can send it back... once you've installed it you've agreed to the license agreemeant...

your best option is to ask a friend if they have vista 64bit dvd then just install that using your key from your 32bit vista.. it'll be still valid and licensed..

I thought 32 bit could address up to 4gb of RAM...he can't have more than that can he?
Yes 32bit is meant to be able to address up to about 4gb..but this includes video card memory as well...

So if you have a 768mb 8800gtx vista will only see about 3.2GB of your 4gb ram(or something around this)
