Returns advice with different e-tailer

I'm looking for some advice about returning a psu.

The psu in question is a Seasonic SS-400FL X-Series 400W Fanless Power Supply which was bought elsewhere as OCuk never sold them.

It originally developed an intermittent fault within roughly 6-8 weeks due to (I was told by the e-tailer) a faulty on off switch.

The e-tailer arranged collection of the psu from me at no cost to myself and replaced it with a new one.

The replacement has now developed the exact same fault as the first one.

I have 2 questions if anyone could oblige me which are:

1. When I raised a new rma I asked them to collect it like the last time, in my e-mail with the returns details there is no mention of collection, it's looking like I have to post it back at a cost to myself(although I will contact them and try and get them to pick it up again).

If I have to pay postage and it is reported faulty, am I due a refund?

2. Considering the psu is used in a low powered media centre that's used 2-6 hrs(maximum) a week, for the same fault to happen twice could possibly mean it's a design fault.

Can I refuse another replacement because this is the second time it's happened and ask for a credit note or different components?

No problem arc@css, no thoughts on whether it can be exchanged for something else?

Yes stulid, it was paid by credit card, ~£115.

Try and take it up with your credit card supplier, I am almost 99.9% positive that you can instruct them to get on the case as they have technically purchased your item and can bring some heavy weight down on the seller for selling a faulty item.

Stulid, I'm very grateful for your input in this matter but I don't think my credit card company will be able to do anything as the e-tailer isn't refusing to fix/replace the psu.

They are not selling a faulty psu, they both worked initially as normal.

Although it works out to be a short period of actual usage in my situation, it can take months for the fault to develop again.

The guarantee is getting shorter and with a possibility of being further out of pocket if I have to return the item again, that's why I was wondering if I can demand a different item.
