Reverse Migration

I'm with talk talk atm and I called them up to ask about moving and matching o2.

They said to move to another provider I need to get a BT Line first, then see out the contract (Or pay the charge) then change. They also mentioned reverse migration - Not too sure what this is ATM.

What are my options considering the line is with Talk Talk:(

If the voice service is with TalkTalk's LLU operation, you'd need to get it moved back to BT before you ordered anything.
When it was moved you'd lose your ADSL, and would have to wait for the return to donor to complete before you could order the new ADSL service.

Yeah LLU here:(
Thanks.

I've no idea what they mean by "reverse migration", presumably a return to donor. Would need context to work out what they were on about.

*Ahem*:p

You can not cancel one part of an LLU service with TalkTalk and another provider can not provide a broadband service to you while you are on TalkTalk LLU. You would either need to find a new provider that can complete the work needed at the exchange to re-connect you to BTs network or return your service to BT as a reverse migration. Cancelling your TalkTalk service would just leave you with a dead line that would need re-activation. If you do move back to BT its worth bearing in mind that they will contract you for a period of 12-18 months for your line rental services. It is also not possible for another broadband provider to start provisioning a service until you are back on BTs network.
