i thought it sucked, not worth it......

I got a 10 day trial from my brother, enjoying it very much - I'm planning to go champion --> templar but with good shield so I can stick it on when I get in trouble.
I've bought the game - only 9.99 in shops now (dunno if I can mention the 2 places it's 9.99) - very good deal as that's less than a months payment and you get a CD and box

It's VERY VERY good until you start to play wars (PVP) and you realise how stupidly pointless the whole thing is. Seriously if you have any sort of sense you'll give it a miss. I was 100% besotted with it - played through beta and about 20 days in to retail then I dropped it like a stone. Horrid horrid game.

If your coming to play this game to slay dragons with your mighty swords, an complete quests that the great master merlin has given you, i think you should give it a miss. If your into PvP, it's one of the best games out. Anyone who says the PvP in it is poor obviously hasn't got to the higher stages of the game.
Still loving it, and theres a patch soon in may time which should be good.

Sorry, but the PvP in this game is severely gimped. Small scale PvP doesn't even exist, since you can just spam potions over and over.
And the larger PvP battles (Chip wars) go something like this:
Race leader: Everyone focus on <Enemy name 1>
<Enemy name 1> dies...
Race leader: Everyone focus on <Enemy name 2>
<Enemy name 2> dies...
It's basically just a zerg fest, near impossible to kill anyone without mass zerging them unless you are a much higher level.
That combined with the lag issues and ridiculously low player view distance range, it's one of the worst PvP experiences I've ever had.

worst game ever, there is nothing to do apart from grind, it is buggy has hell, translations are 99% of the time wrong. its easy to make millions. Chip wars (which is what the games meant to be about) are the worst battles ever.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the others who think RF Online is a poor game. I was in the beta thanks to the pre-order but Amazon managed to screw up my order so I didn't receive the full game (got refund though). 
I found the game to be very boring although it looked great, which is a shame as I liked the idea of going mecha in a MMORPG.

So we have to level to 40+ before enjoying it? Erm, no thanks. A game that takes that long to enjoy it is poor in my opinion.
And a nice way to say move away from D&D "geek" style games, when RF Online is nothing more than a grouping of "geek" style games rolled into one (fantasy, anime & mecha).

Do the quest change or is it still kill 10 of this 10 of that, pick up 5 of this 20 of that. Do the CW change apart from you can kill n00bs easier..
From what I saw of the game it was crud.
After you killed your first monster and then done your first CW theres nothing new to experiance. Apart from getting better weapons and better equipment.
in other words what so drasticaly changes at level 40 to make it intresting?
