RF Online?

hehe i installed the free trial on tuesday ... have given it a couple of goes over the last few days... i cant look up and down for some reason which is very annoying (if anyone knows why please tell me)

i also completed my first quest and couldn't seem to get another

despite this i could still feel myself becomming addicted :) reminds me of galaxies in the good old days ... most probably as i have no idea whats going on... have no idea what im supposed to be doing... but killing things is pretty :D

also how do u chat to everyone else ( [map] ) ?

thx

NO NO NO. Really don't make the same mistake I did with this. I'm an Galaxies Vet attempting to fill the void left by the NGE and got instantly addicted to RF. It really is awful - you'll see and you'll wish you never played it. Total and utter waste of time, seriously.

Every game in the world is a waste of time if you look at it like that, but I enjoy it and a lot of other people do, it's entertainment.

So we have to level to 40+ before enjoying it? Erm, no thanks. A game that takes that long to enjoy it is poor in my opinion.

And a nice way to say move away from D&D "geek" style games, when RF Online is nothing more than a grouping of "geek" style games rolled into one (fantasy, anime & mecha).

No, I'm loving the game and I'm level 26 almost 27. But it's just about a whole other game when you're able to PvP properly. Brill game.

Also, it doesn't matter how geeky the game may seem, it's how you look at the game. It's geeky if you take it seriously etc. any game is...

This game is abysmal in my opinion. I'm not surprised that this game has dropped to 9.99 soon after release. Being a long time vet of UO I don't mind a game with little to no content, as long as the game mechanics work to a certain standard, which this game certainly doesn't do.

If you like to grind skills 24/7 with a badly implemented PvE combat system to get to a level where you can compete in a PvP system which revolves around 3-8+ man gank squads and none stop health potion button bashing I guess this game is for you.

Chip wars was quite fun for awhile I have to admit, but it could only hold me for a few weeks. I think its a game with some potential with a few changes and some content added, but until then i'm staying well clear.

You can't really just hold down potions... well you could if you bought the smaller 250hp ones, but they don't help at all when you're a higher level, so you'd need to hold down 1,000 potions to actual survive - that would cost tons to get enough 1,000 potions to survive anything. Even then you can still be killed.
