Yes, I downloaded the full game from http://www.rfactor.net/downloads/ installed it then when I try to start it I get that error. It doesnt let me start the game or activate it.

Windows 7 64 ultimate, the error comes up after it fails to activate. Im going to try downloading it from another link and see if that works.

I say WCP2009! I was on yesterday for a bit with Maxi but had to go off..don't think i'll be able to make it tonight either. We should start a league, race every saturday or something!

ok do this..

Go to c:\ - if you don't see a folder called 'ProgramData' press ALT on your keyboard. Go to Tools, folder options, view, check Show Hidden Files and Folders.

Now go back to c:\ - look again, once you find the folder look for a folder called Try Media. I'd say copy the contents to another folder called BackupFiles or something. Reload rFactor from download - then launch the game.

When the Buy or Trial game screen comes up, look at the bottom for "Already Purchased" put the activation code or whatever you have in your email into there with your email address and bobs your uncle.

Ok i've copied the trymedia folder, im just waiting for the download to finish now.

Getting server mismatches with FSOne 2009 - I have just installed the 1.0 file I found on rfactor central, Anything else I need?

I personally installed the same one. Make sure when you install you overwrite the files it wants!

Installed OK, now I cant join the server, I'm getting 'join timed out' when I try. I can see theres 2 on there as well..

I'll try again tomorrow
