rfactor logitech g25 problem

I have a relatively common problem (i think) but i cannot find a solution.

The on screen steering wheel of any car in rfactor only rotates 90 degrees left or right when i turn my logitech g25. If i turn my g25 beyond 90 degrees in either direction the wheel on the screen doesnt move any further.

I found logitechG25.ini in \userdata\controller\ and edited the following:
"Steering Wheel Range="900" // Degrees of rotation of in-game steering wheel"

Now when i go back into the game and turn my g25 90 degrees to the right the steering wheel in the car turns all the way around (it looks like its done a full 360 degrees even though i have only actually turned my g25 wheel 90 degrees).

Does anyone know how i can get my g25 and rfactor to "match". This problem is mainly stopping me driving stuff like the bmw m3 mod and the crappy f430 mod. So i want a solution so i can drive these kind of cars.

HOWEVER, my main interest is to get the wheel working properly with the fsone and bmw sauber f1 mods. I have actually been able to play these mods without changing that steering wheel range as 90 degrees on my g25 only seems to turn the wheel 90 degrees in the game anyway. However, something doesnt feel right even with these f1 mods.

any ideas?

Thanks
:p

Looks like you are stuck on the default 200 degrees of rotation. You need to adjust this in the Game Controllers sections of Windows Control Panel or in the Logitech profiler software.

aghh i see... thanks !

Yes it was set to 200 in game controllers settings. So basically the wheel rotation setting in game controllers should be the same as the "Steering Wheel Range=" value in controller.ini ?

Yes, but don't worry about the ini, it is not required for the G25 operation and is just cosmetic. As the description says "Degrees of rotation of in-game steering wheel" it is just to match up what you see the wheel move on the screen with how much you move the G25.

aghhh great... thanks a lot... this has made a huge difference !

With both set to the same value, and the fact i have altered my FFB settings (after trawling through wheel setups to try and find the solution to my own problem) everything feels really hooked up now.

I can hit an apex, albeit at a disgracefully low percentrage though :P
