Anyone played this, the graphics looked really good pre-release, but when it launched all I heard were bad things, has it improved at all? Anyome like this game?

Been looking for a new MMO since quitting Wow
 
from what I saw it was a grindfest with little or no real gameplay.

iirc zephan played it a while

On off for about 2 years, didnt leave my skills training half the time... Lived out in 0.0, pirated, PvPd, missioned... I guess it just finished its run with me... Same as WoW, got bored of that after a year or so. :)

eve is totaly dependant on who you play WITH more than anything else

Yea, U mainly played with people from work and friends to start with, and a few others, then i stopped playing for a bit, so did some others, got back into it a little while later but it didnt last too long. I think we all jsut got bored of it and I couldnt be bothered with making new friends.

give it a go for a month, if you're looking for a corp I can get you in FUN and we'll see how you do
no forced anything but we'ed love to have you down in syndicate for some PVP!
 
Played it for a while but eventually my mates stopped playing and then it was just a borefest (Like every mmo when you play on your own :( )

It was ok for a while, but the ridiculous grind was just painful, and the pvp was lagtastic. You'd be hitting someone for about 30 seconds and then they'd suddenly just zip instantly to the horizon and then you'd die from a higher level enemy suddenly appearing and smashing your guts out.

Apparently though the grind has been basically halved and the lag has been fixed.
 
I found a 10 day trial hidden away in their pages, but i havent recieved the code yet... Seems tehy are pretty incompetent.

not really gotta be a MMO worse than rf not just sayin this due to i play it but due to Korea rf has a lot of subs atm but the uk one doesnt have many which kinda sux
 
He says RF Online is not the worst MMO. I played Beta and I have to agree.

It is kind of a Scifi version of Lineage2 but not quite as good.

He then says the Korean version is popular and has lots of players where as the UK/US/EU version doesn't.

Playing an empty MMO is not fun.
