RGB 6x Corsair fans and a Corsair RGB Hiub issue

installed win 11 and msi control centre with mystic lights but only 4 of the fans work across ports 1-4 on the hub - 5 and 6 not working. Fans are ok as I have tried them in ports 1-4 but 5 and 6 dead
 
What kind of fans are they? (QL? LL?). Some older Corsair hubs have a hard limit on how many LEDs they can control so it may be that there are limits on the jcorsair header too - otherwise I suppose the hardware could be mis-detecting how many LEDs there are and only powering upto a certain number: What happens if you swap fan 5 (currently not lighting up) for fan 2?

Yes I did that and the fans are ok but now of a dude. None of the fans are lighting up at all . I think the RGB hub is faulty ?
 
Yeah but buying a commander pro could be an expensive way of finding out that it's not what you thought! (and bear in mind that the commander pro only has two lighting ports on it so would still require you use to use an RGB hub, a commander core XT is the one with 6 RGB ports). The reason I suggested you change the fan order is that it could be one of the fans that's faulty - I use 9 QL fans on my set up and know how flaky they can be!
 
could well be a faulty hub but don't go spending more money just to figure out whether it's the fans or hub. As Rugrat has said change the order of the fans. Even reinstalling the msi centre can help :)

I can only get four of the fans working after uninstalling the software and reinstalling it. I have a PWM cable extender - that wouldn’t be the issue but it’s only for power
 
i use signal rgb instead of msi mystic light. yeah signal rgb uses a little more power and resources but is far more stable. the free version is all i use and works like a charm. maybe give that ago unless your happy with it all being set now :)
