Removed my 2500k and x4 sticks of 2gb ram from case to put in replacement cpu/mb/ram.
Tested the 2500k kit a couple of days later to check them before taking to my youngest son.
It boot looped. Turned out x1 stick was acting up in any slot on its own. The other 3 worked in any slot.
Then tried a stick from another ram kit and that too bootlooped, but then after 10 or so tries it managed to boot.
Then I tried the dodgy ram stick again... And it worked? So now all four of the original ram sticks work, just like they did before taking the bundle of of case.
Why?
