Don't worry, I know I'm not aero
Literally today,
this arrived from Wiggle. It fits great, so we'll see how that goes. I'll then look into some leggings types for the wet too.
I also got a
3XL Castelli top, which I managed to get into... then thought I was stuck in it!!! Shame, as it's a really nice wind breaker.
Good to hear, just in time for the rain!?
I think I tried one of those once but can't remember why I returned it. Possibly fit. I have quite a varied selection of jackets from the last few years and do randomly wear the older ones again. After yesterdays thinking/posting about it I actually dug out the
DHB Commuter this morning for some heavy rain. Probably the first time I've worn it in 3 years! Good jacket, shame they discontinued them. Quite sweaty, but can recall now why I got the
EQ2.5 as its a far nicer fabric, more breathable, but heavy rain does soak in it a little. I think the
DHB Flashlight Force is their evolution of these various jackets into 1. But it's a crazy high price. The EQ2.5 @ for the £50 I paid for it was a bargain!
My go to jacket at the moment is a
Proviz Reflect 360. Although I'd say it's a little overpriced and not that great a design, but is supremely reflective. Fabric is very waterproof, innter layer makes it a little breathable with some great big pit vents. Also the more it gets wet the more it seems to reflect! I would say the DHB's are designed better, more breathable, but when I got it I wanted something uber reflective for autumn/winter rather than a summer jacket.
DHB did their own reflective version but I've not tried one.
Overtrousers are hard. I've a set of
DHB Mono and although they've maybe only been worn 30/40 times (over several years), they've not aged well. Expensive for what they where (compared to your standard 'outdoors' type waterproof trousers). I've always wanted a pair of
Castelli Tempesta trousers or leg warmers but they're far too expensive. A guy I know has the jacket and it's really good.
Maybe these Endura could be an option? Unsure if you can get them somewhere other than Wiggle for more size options.
