Ok I have been putting together a list of new toys to buy for a new system build. The system is going to be used for video encoding, output of HD content to a 42" plasma and a general media storage box. I already have a WD Raptor 7Gb, Pioneer DVR-108, 250Gb SATA 2 Drive.

Just wanting to know what your opinions are and if I have missed anything out or got anything matched up wrongly ?

Hipers are prone to failure. Look at the 520W Corsair.

Also, can you really justify £200 on a case? The Antec P180 would do the job stupendously well tbh.

Considering the case, maybe change the SATA cables to this

Regarding the case I just love the look of that case, I currently have a Coolermaster ATC 201 SXT that I could use but that Lian-Li case is pure sex

Without the case and changing the gfx card and psu my bill sits at £928

TBH all lian-lis are hawt. I have a black PC-7 PLUS, and the pics never do them justice.

£200!! You could grab something more than useable and get Vista, too.

I would be looking to O/C this chip hence the choice of the HSF. Is that chip a good clocker ?

Reason I am going for it is the fact it has 4mb L2 cache which is handy for video encoding.

You should get that 6600 upto 3.4 easy probably higher but it does get hot.
