Basically you need to cut off the curved bits on the H bracket where the red lines are, otherwise it simply won't fit inbetween the heatsinks surrounding the cpu socket.

As for backing up a raid array, it's no different from backing up a single drive.

If you're really still not too keen on RAID I guess the other alternative would be to get a raptor for your os and games and get a bigger drive for putting your music photos video etc on...
 
I recon that a larger power pack may be required, if your going SLI and using a few HDD's if you go RAID, its better to have excess power than pushing your PSU to the max. Stable system requires a very good PSU. That is a very good PSU but maybe inadequate for the system your building. Very very good PSU, and have you already got a DVD Drive of some kind? Just wondering as its not in the cart.

A yes! Doh, im sure ive read somewhere that Nvidia are going to release drivers so SLI will be possible on the new X38 chipset. Ill try and dig it up.

I settled for an 8800GTS 320 on this build as thats all I could afford, so itd be easier to save up for another to add to it now, rather than saving up whats needed for a GTX.

He probably meant 1x 640 mb GTS. And I would go with that rather than 2x 320mb sli.
