Hi Guys,
My School is doing a production of Fame next week and we're getting a lot of sound equipment in (Yamaha M7CL-ES, L Acoustics PA etc). to connect the mixer to stage boxes, you have to use a standard cat5e cable, and the easiest way to rig these would be along the lighting bars... Initially I thought it would be fine, i know that you shouldnt run audio cables parrallel to power lines, but then I thought could the data cables pick up interference from running along a metal bar that has ~15 15amp cables running through it?
So will I be ok to run networking along these or not? I'm going to go with no... but just would like confirmation as it will significantly reduce our rig time if we can
