Anyone know where I can buy one of these in the UK? Bloody handy when you have devices against a wall (for example) with no room to attach the blody type B USB connector. What a great idea these right angled connectors are ;) ....... if only I could find them on these here shores! I'd buy this one from e-bay but the shipping is a whopping $33!! It's perfect though as it even comes out left from the plug, which ideally is what I need.

...... You'd of thought something as simple as a USB cable, albeit a specificly right angled one, wouldn't be that hard to track down at least somewhere in the country! I've had no luck so far. They only seem to be available in the states & shipping costs a bloody fortune from most places I've found. Maybe a gap in the market for these things

Found this one. Not quite what I wanted but it might have to do. Seems you can't get hold of the cable I linked to in my original post for love or money over here! Never thought I'd have so much trouble getting hold of a bloody cable!!

No competitors please - Rilot

:p Amazon is a competitor to OCUK? Get real! OCUK do not even sell those cables anyway! If they did I'd be buying one from them instead of desperately searching for one! Anyway, Am**on do a cable with an adjustable socket ....... but as for the right angled USB b connector cable ........ only seems to be available across the pond!

As I understand it, once you link to computer products on the site you linked to (or any for that matter) you are mentioning a competitor - as it could reasonably be seen as taking business from OcUK (e.g. if there were no available right-angled usb cables available in the UK, there is a liklihood that you would get a normal one - which OcUK stock).

Remember these boards are paid for by OcUK, and are free to use, so it's totally fair that they are strict about this. And better for users to err on the side of caution (or email one of the mod team to check before posting).

No promotion of OcUK's competitors
OcUK are happy to provide the resources of these forums to responsible individuals without charge. They cost a substantial amount of money to maintain and use considerable amounts of bandwith which is paid for exclusively by OcUK. As you know OcUK are in the computer hardware business and therefore the promotion of OcUK's competitors is forbidden. Examples of promotion are :-

* Posting links to competitors websites
* Posting links to reviews that promote competitors
* Quoting the names or contact details of competitors
* Offering to provide the names or contact details of competitors
* Hinting about product availability at competitors and their pricing
* Using the forums to notify a member of intent or actual supply of names or contact details of competitors
* Listing competitors names, URL's or e-mail addresses in signatures
* Listing competitors names, URL's or e-mail addresses in profile
* Posting links to or the mentioning of auction sites
* Disguising attempts to do any of the above
