Right click menu on windows icon disappeared from Windows 8.1

Hi guys,

For some reason after an update windows made yesterday on my new laptop the right click menu has disappeared when I right click the windows icon. Anyone had this before or know how to fix it?!

Think that is something different for the pinned programs, OP issue is with the start button not being able to be right clicked.

Are you able to roll back to just before the update to make sure it was the reason?

Hi guys, thanks for your input. Just had to go a lot of digging on Google, managed to search the correct terms and find something eventually! This is what fixed it:

I was about to suggest, create a new user account and see if that has the issue
