Rik Mayall RIP

Paid my little tribute to him last night. Wanted to watch something of his I'd not seen before, and spotted ITV showing an old drama he did for them 20 or so years ago, "Rik Mayall presents: Dancing Queen".

Still funny, but a nice element of acting in there too!


ps: I believe this drama was one of three he did for ITV back then. I'm going to hunt the other two down as well.

Saw this thread, forgot he was already dead for second, saw that the icon suggested I'd posted in it already, got confused, and now I'm feeling sad he's dead again.

I remember the first stand up gig I ever saw was back in 1985 and it was Kevin Turvey/Ben Elton/Rik Mayall triple bill. Two doses of Rik for the price of one. What a fantastic night that was.

Seems like Riks mind was a bit scrambled, according to Ade he would ring him to go to lunch, and anytime he rang, Rik would think he was calling them to start again (Bottom etc). :(
