If so, they're an old type of memory that Intel "tried" back in the Pentium 3 days. They were really fast, however they ran hot - so hot that when not in use the RIMMs would have to enter a "power save" mode, and this introduced an extra latency which negated the speed boost.
In the end they were dropped for DDR, and that was that really. The manufacturers RAMBUS can often be found dragging other companies through the courts for "stealing" their technology.
