'Legendary Welsh rock singer Bonnie Tyler has died in Portugal aged 75, her family has announced.

A statement on her Facebook page said the singer "unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for".

She had undergone emergency intestinal surgery in May.'

First introduced to her music as a kid, Holding out for a Hero, back in the late 80s in Short Circuit 2. What a powerful voice.
