RIP Bonnie Tyler...

One of my bands supported her once and she was a really nice woman.
I introduced myself and she said aren't you suppose to be going on soon but I said "Here's the catch, we're supporting but going on after you" and they all started laughing.
I said the Concert Sec in his infinite wisdom wants it that way around but I tried to explain when you finish everybody will go home, not only have your roadies got to pack away we have then got to setup our gear so it will be a minimum of an hour before we go on".
Anyway, Bonnie came off and wished me luck and while her roadies were packing away the club emptied.
Here's the best bit, the Concert Sec blamed us for everybody going home :)

Anyway, RIP Bonnie, that was a great gig.
 
Hadn't appreciaced Steinman wrote total eclipse though,common roots with melodramatic bat out of hell now seem obvious - RIP
 
Very sad news, the soundtrack of my childhood.

I've possibly dreamt this but I'm sure that "Waiting for a Hero" was the theme song for a TV series in the early eighties, though I can’t recall its name.

The song played during the opening credits. Tragically, the lead actor in the first series lost his life while filming, though I can’t remember if it was in a way similar to Brandon Lee’s accident, so they replaced him with another actor. Never forgot, as me and my sister were really sad and always associated the song with this.

May she rest in peace now, she was ill and in hospital for a while before this sad news.

As we old folk on here keep saying another part of our childhood taken away again, but she is another that will never be forgotten.
