Brian Wilde of Last Of The Summer Wine and Porridge has died, aged 80.

My least favourite of the Last of the Summer Wine lot (not that I actually liked the show in any case) but RIP anyway.

He had a good innings mind you.

It has been years since I watched it but I thought he was pretty good.

Preferred him in Porridge I think.

And yes 80 ain't a bad run.

He was almost made for his role in LOTSW when I used to watch it, but I'll always remember him for being Mr Barraclough.

A good man, a fine entertainer and a genuine professional.

RIP Mr Wilde.
